Who We Are
The Personnel Ministry is a group of church members, led by at least one serving Elder, whose task is to serve as liaison between the staff, congregation and Session in matters pertaining to church employees.
What We Do
Interviewing and hiring new church employees, with the exception of the Pastor, is an important function of the ministry. In addition, any other functions that relate to the church staff fall under the auspices of the Personnel & Staff support.
This ministry also develops, reviews and modifies job descriptions, often in conjunction with the needs of other ministries. The reviews are conducted at least annually. We have found the process to be a useful tool allowing Session and staff to work closely together and communicate more effectively about the needs of the congregation.
